Patterned Cats

These cat where done around Halloween time, after Laurel Burch's cats. We talked about patterns and designs while using oil pastels to color cat shape first and areas of colors and then painted with acrylic paint over and scratched out more designs.

Zentangles

A 7 years old in my class drew this Zentangle two weeks ago. It was a very relaxing and quite class and outside the rain did not stop falling!

And here is another one (Christmas has its influence on kids...)

Coffee Filter Mandalas

These MANDALAS were done while ago, in the beginning of the school year, to celebrate the cycle of the year (the Hebrew new year) and life. In this process, which was done with 6-7 year olds, we folded coffee filters a few times to create the creases for the crossing lines (4) and used sharpies  for the lines and design. We then brushed the coffee filters with water, pat them dry and added water colors.

We did some fun monsters in our winter camp this December, you can even take them for a walk!

These monsters are just waiting to get some ball in their tummies...
