This time of the year...every year I can't resist going out there and picking up these red, orange, yellow, ocher, and every shade in between of the fallen leaves. Back home, where we only get to have two seasons per year, you don't get to see all this variety of colors! All these years I've been living here and still they don't seize to impress me.
In this project, which I did with 2nd graders, we printed leaves with brown and black acrylic paints over watercolor papers. We then painted over with watercolors using foliage colors and topped with blue watercolors.
